A striking dark green plant with small leaves. Lightly spined vines growing out to 8 feet. Good producer of globe-shaped fruit. Firm, fine grained flesh. Excellent flavor. Growing Tuscan Tuscanito Melon Garden Seeds

Plants can be started in pots in a northern sunny exposure indoors at about 75° for 2-4weeks; plant ½” deep, then transplant outdoors when temperature reaches 70-80°. Thinning out and retaining the sturdiest plant from each pot is highly recommended. Best harvested when the end of the stem is soft, very easy to remove from the vine, and aroma of the fruit is delectably pungent.

Additional Facts and Information

It keeps in the fridge for about two weeks when fresh. Seeds are good roasted. With Tuscan’s adaptability and tender flesh it is typically wrapped in prosciutto; smothered with yogurt, cheeses, ice cream, etc. Observed by dietitians and nutritionists as an effective antioxidant including Vitamins A and C, high in folate, and has 50 calories in a quarter of one melon.
