Spelt flour and baked goods have a more robust flavor than regular wheat. Spelt grain is very popular for sprouting, and Spelt can be grown into a grass and juiced just like wheatgrass.

No herbicides are used in growing, and they can almost effortlessly be cultivated indoors (also favorable for hydroponic gardening) or outdoors. They prefer a well-drained soil with temperatures that are no higher than 90 degrees Farenheit (32 degrees Celsius). These grains require a soil pH of 6.0.  It will tolerate poor drainage.
